A total of 100 volunteers from UNN, joined by MKM president Mohamed Yusof Shaik Abdul Halim, MKM former president Datin Paduka Hajah Intan binti Haji Mohd Kassim, MKM Vice President Hajah Johana binti Haji Jaya and MKM office-bearers participated in packing and distributing over B$7,000.00 worth of UNN care packages (including in-kind donations from UNN employees) to 100 disadvantaged families.

UNN's 5-year program to modernize the country's aging telecommunications network infrastructure and meet the demands for higher throughputs and lower latency underpins the necessity for copper-based services to now be migrated to fibre optics technology and bring about the imminent discontinuation of copper connections by July 2024.

As an initiative to raise nationwide awareness on cable theft, a community engagement programme was developed by Unified National Networks (UNN), Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) with collaboration from the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) to brief community leaders from the four districts of Brunei Darussalam.

Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), the leading national technology university and Unified National Networks (UNN), the national ICT infrastructure enabler signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to commemorate their collaboration to introduce Holographic Education Proof-of-Concept (Holo-Ed PoC).

At the 2023 Elevate Awards held in Sunnyvale California last month (30 November 2023), Unified National Networks Sdn Bhd (UNN) was recognized as one of the three global finalists who have architected impactful and secure networks to deliver exceptional services and user experiences in the 5G Leadership category.
