
15 May 2025 - In a significant stride towards advancing digital transformation and innovation, Unified National Networks Sdn Bhd (UNN) proudly unveiled its Digital Service Lab with an in-house developed digital ribbon cutting ceremony by Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy and the Chairman of UNN.

Themed “Co-Innovate and Co-LABorate,” the launch marks a new chapter in driving collaborative innovation and digital experimentation. The Digital Service Lab is envisioned as a catalyst for cross-sector ideation, bringing together the government, academia, startups, industry players, and technology partners under one dynamic platform.

The invited guests were given an exclusive tour of the Digital Service Lab, housing latest infrastructures designed to nurture experimentation, prototyping, validation and rapid solution development. Guests first visited the Innovation Marketplace, reflecting the Lab’s role in cultivating grassroots innovation and showcasing brightest talents from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), and the local startup communities from the Brunei Innovation Lab’s (BIL) ecosystem.

The tour then proceeded to the Innovation Showcase, featuring co-developed prototypes and solutions from collaborations with academic institutions, startups, and global technology collaborators. These innovations exemplify what is possible when collaboration and a shared purpose come together. In the afternoon, the event continued with Tech Talks and Fireside Chats, led by local and international esteemed speakers.
