13 March 2025 - This Ramadhan 1446H/2025, Unified National Networks Sdn Bhd (UNN) focused its resources on supporting the families under the care of Society for Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER), a family-supported local non-government organization (NGO).
A Tahlil & Iftar event was held with 51 families together with UNN Board of Directors (BODs), UNN Senior Management Team (SMT), and UNN employees on 13 March 2025 at Cesar Grand Hall, Mulia Hotel.
Present at the event were UNN Chairman Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abd Hamid, UNN Directors Yang Mulia Awang Haji Hairul Mohd Daud bin Haji Abdul Karim and Yang Mulia Puan Hajah Amalina binti Haji Ghani, UNN Acting CEO Christopher Phan, SMARTER President Pg and other members of UNN’s Management team.

The Tahlil & Iftar event is part of UNN’s annual Ramadhan charity drive (program) that works on providing monetary and in-kind support to disadvantaged families in the country and serves as a platform for UNN employees to extend their generosity and good will, promote volunteerism and enhance overall well-being through these types of socio-economic engagements.
This year, the charity drive aims to raise awareness about autism and its community whilst simultaneously promoting social inclusion and offering support for individuals and families affected by autism among employees and public.
During Iftar, UNN BODs and SMT interacted with the SMARTER families and presented each family with B$100 shopping voucher to help with daily necessities.

Additionally, personal donations from UNN employees comprising of over B$700 in cash, more than 50 bags of preloved clothes, furniture, toys, and food items were also distributed to the SMARTER Centre that morning.
