Borneo-IX a neutral interconnection which offers a distributed platform which enables ISPs, CDNs, cloud providers, and network operators to exchange data. Borneo-IX is the first International Internet Exchange on Borneo which services as a main platform to access the world of interconnection services with the ability of overbooking.

Borneo-IX powered by DE-CIX will also introduce an ASIA distributed interconnection where participants would be able to interconnect to the platform around ASIA.

Brunei Darussalam is a country located on Borneo, the largest Island in Asia and the third largest in the world, shared with the State of Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak, Federal Territory of Labuan and Kalimantan a region of Indonesia. Geographically being on Borneo with a total population of 22 million and having multiple international submarine cables landing on the shores of Brunei, has positioned Brunei as an integral internet gateway for Borneo.
