In March 2023, UNN obtained the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for implementing an effective information security management system (ISMS) and improving its cyber security posture. ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is one of the most globally recognized international standard that outlines specifications of ISMS to address information security that includes people, processes, and technology.

The first Brunei Telecommunications Industry-led Innovation Symposium was hosted on 16-17 May 2023 at Radisson Hotel in the capital to provide networking and discussion platforms for stakeholders in Brunei and overseas.

The accreditations received from Global Business Outlook and Asian Telecom, and ISO27001:2022 certification are benchmarks for standards and best practices confirming UNN is heading in the right direction with its ICT strategies and programs in support of Brunei’s ambition for digitisation and Wawasan 2035 initiatives.

As part of its Ramadhan CSR Activities for 2023, Unified National Networks (UNN) has donated a total of B$5,900 worth of Hari Raya vouchers to 118 orphans ages between 5 years old and 15 years old identified under the Dana Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah for Orphans (DANA) charitable foundation.

Amidst the spirit of giving in the holy month of Ramadan, UNN held its first internal Ramadhan donation drive on 03 April 2023 where donations in cash and in kind totaling B$3,700 were collected from UNN employees to help alleviate the hardships of socio-economically challenged families.
