Standard Guideline for Civil Works

  • The open trench is up to 600mm depth and 200mm width
  • After installing the ducts, contractors must perform backfill and reinstatement work
  • The open cut in concrete surfaces is up to 200mm depth and 200mm width
  • After installing the ducts, contractors must perform backfill and reinstatement work
  • The ducts/pipe installed must not be exposed to external elements
  • G.I. Pipes must be installed when the route requires crossing of house entrance and/or road
  • G.I. Pipes must be installed when the route requires crossing of drainages
  • When PVCs are installed on grass/soil, contractors can install a 38mm PVC pipe with a standard depth of up to 600mm
  • When PVCs are installed on concrete road sides, contractors can install a 38mm PVC pipe
  • The standard depth for the installation of intermediate pole is 1200mm
  • The concrete base on ground level will need to be 300mm x 300mm
  • Installation of poles must include accessories such as pole rings and pole steps
