UNN’s sustainability-driven approach was commended by industry experts from Ernst & Young (EY), PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) China, and Deloitte Southeast Asia, whorecognized the company’s outstanding contributions among leading regional telecom firms.
As the rural villages are still off the grid and they live in hard to reach places, UNN ideated the UNNity for Local Community programme to procure services and support from the rural residents for basic maintenance tasks in upkeeping the base stations in these rural areas.
Over 100 UNN employees, together with UNN Board Members, attended the ceremony.
As of November 2024, 27 cases of cable theft have been reported this year, disrupting connectivity for homes and businesses, including essential sectors such asbanking and emergency services, compromising public safety and convenience. These crimes extend beyond mere inconvenience, posing significant risks to public safety, disrupting critical operations and financial transactions.
As part of the industry’s continuous efforts to safeguarding the country and its data from cyber threats UNN together with imagine and Progresif, representing the Brunei Telecommunications Industry, have embarked on a partnership with Big BWN to support the Belia Pintar Siber digital literacy program.
