UNN and Watercloud International Sign MoU to Accelerate AI Workload Capabilities

Thursday 26 March 2026 – Unified National Network Sdn Bhd (UNN) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Watercloud International (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. to collaborate on advancing AI infrastructure and supporting the growing demand for AI-driven workloads. UNN is represented by Acting Chief Executive Officer Christopher Phan and Chief Digital Officer Heiko Trost, while Watercloud International is represented by Chief Executive Officer Leonard Melvin Fernando and President Dr Farzin Karma.

 

This strategic collaboration will explore leveraging UNN’s AI-capable data centre and extensive subsea connectivity to serve Watercloud International’s end customers, enabling high-performance, low-latency delivery of AI services across the region and beyond.

 

As part of the collaboration, Watercloud International will work closely with UNN to establish and commission cutting-edge technologies, including Artificial Intelligence Cloud, data infrastructure, off-grid power systems, advanced cooling, and high-density compute solutions. These capabilities are designed to support UNN’s long-term scalability requirements while ensuring efficiency, resilience, and sustainability in operations.

 

The collaboration demonstrates how modern infrastructure can deliver high performance while maintaining strong environmental standards and supporting sustainable economic development. This reinforces Brunei’s position as a hub for advanced digital technologies in the region.

 

Watercloud International will benefit from UNN’s robust and secure infrastructure, supported by strong international connectivity, to deliver reliable and scalable AI solutions to its customers.

 

The MoU sets the foundation for future collaboration in AI infrastructure, research and service delivery, further strengthening Brunei’s role as a regional hub for advanced digital technologies.
