19 December 2021 - Brunei Coding Conquest 2021, held in conjunction with the Brunei December Festival 2021 and sponsored by Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) and Unified National Networks Sdn Bhd (UNN), concluded with a prize presentation to the top teams that afternoon.
18 December 2021 - Teens in AI program, which is implemented by InTurnCo with collaboration between DARe, BSP, Baiduri Bank, BSM, UNN and Dynamik Technologies Sdn Bhd and supported by the Science Technology Environment Partnership (STEP) Centre at the Ministry of Education (MoE) with the AITI as a strategic partner, concluded on Saturday with a virtual Demo Day.
On 20 December 2021, Unified National Networks Sdn Bhd (UNN) launched a cloud hosting service – Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS). The launch marks another milestone for UNN in its efforts towards Brunei’s digital transformation development and aligns with the nation’s digital transformation journey towards achieving the Smart Nation goals.
Last week, on Wednesday 27 October 2021, UNN townhall was held virtually as an alternative way for its employees to gather in one safe and secured space during the pandemic whilst adhering strictly to MOH guidelines and company’s BCP policies.
Following the announcement by UNN on a series of upgrades of its broadband network to be carried out on the early mornings of 13 and 14 August 2021, these were to address the increased traffic and data volume carried in the fixed broadband network specifically during the day as everyone is working from home and a further increase of 20% in the evening hours between 8:00pm and 12 midnight.
